Clients in Zones #1, 6 & 9

Our client base in our Zones is made up of various companies operating under:

  • The Freeport regime
  • The Export Processing Zone (EPZ) scheme
  • Local enterprises using the warehousing infrastructures under the Suspended Duty regime
The Freeport regime
Freeport activities revolve around:
  • Import, warehousing in the common or individual sheds for re-export
  • Bulk breaking
  • Value added activities such as re-packaging and re-labelling
  • Quality control and inspection services
  • Outdoor storage of containers
  • Minor processing
In addition to our cellular offices that are let to such operators, warehousing represents a major amount of activities in all our zones.

Export Processing Zone (EPZ) scheme
EPZ companies may also make use of the warehousing facilities to:
  • Store duty free imported raw materials
  • Warehouse their manufactured goods for re-export after inspection and quality control services have been carried out
Local companies
Our infrastructures cater for a number of activities according to our clients’ operating regime:
  • Warehousing for solely duty paid dry goods to be sold on the local market
  • Warehousing of dry goods ‘duty free’ under bond for sale on the local market once duties and taxes have been paid to Customs
  • Outdoor storage of imported secondhand cars under bond for sale on the local market
