Seaport Infrastructures
Present in both neighbouring zones 1 & 6, and the Trade & Marketing Centre, our amenities include:

ZONE# 6
Strategically located in the heart of the port area next to the New Container Terminal, Zone #6 has been developed over a plot of land of 70 000m2 and comprises three steel warehouses, container storage areas, yard space for storage of imported vehicles, power points for reefer containers, utilities and 15 000m2 of serviced land for future development.

Warehouses

Three modern warehouses of 5000m2 each complete with raised floor, continuous loading bay fitted with dock levelers and covered with a canopy. The basic facilities include:

  • Electrical supply through individual distribution boards
  • Steel partitions
  • Office block of 400m2 fully fitted out with electrical power, air conditioning, toilet facilities, voice and data communications, fire detection and fire fighting installations
One of the three warehouses is equipped with pallet racking system and is managed as a common user facility for operators trading under suspended duty and Freeport regimes.

Salient features of Zone #6:

  • Internal asphaltic roadways and rigid pavement marshalling yard
  • High security perimeter fence and control posts
  • Electrical supply through 22kV high tension lines, HT switchgears, 1000kVA transformer and distinct distribution boards
  • Backup power through 400kVA standby generator with automatic transfer switch
  • Fire protection systems: hydrants, hose reels and extinguishers and an on site water reservoir of 650 000 litres
  • Sewer system connected to a nearby offsite sewerage plant
  • Storm water drains
  • Separate conduits for voice, data communications, surveillance (CCTV, intrusion detection)
  • Outfield buildings: service block for transformer, generator, pump room, toilet block, control posts
  • Soft services include: 24H security, cleaning services, pest control
